The 22nd edition of the FIFA World Cup will be held in Qatar from November 21 to December 18, 2022.
Fans will flock to witness the most unique World Cup ever, the first of its kind to be held in the winter months and the first compact World Cup to aim to reduce carbon emissions.

Hayya card
There is a caveat to getting tickets to the upcoming World Cup called the Hayya Cards.
Qatar is a tourist nation, but a small one. The months of November and December are usually a busy time for tourists visiting the nation for sightseeing and fun. As a result, Qatar has made it mandatory for World Cup goers to obtain a Hayya card.
The Hayya card identifies those who will be visiting Qatar for the World Cup as it will serve as a sort of visa for the traveling fans. No tickets will be issued to fans who do not have a Hayya card.
Fans must apply for Hayya cards, which will then be used to apply for tickets and accommodation prior to the World Cup.
Where and how to get tickets for the World Cup 2022
As previously mentioned, the tickets for the World Cup will be sold on dedicated FIFA platforms (FIFA.com/tickets and all other FIFA-affiliated partners).
However, the tickets are not on sale at the moment as Qatar tries to control the number of fans coming to their small nation.
An estimated 1.5 million people – including teams and federation delegates – are expected at the World Cup. Fans will number at least 1 million and at the time of writing 800,000 tickets have already been sold.

In an unprecedented move to ensure fans get the most out of their World Cup experience, the local organizing committee for the Qatar 2022 World Cup came up with the idea of supporters’ tickets.
These supporters’ tickets allow fans who are not nationals or natives of countries they support to sit with the national fans of that country and enjoy the atmosphere with them.
The supporter ticket is one of the ticket categories prepared for the World Cup. The others are:
Individual match tickets
Tickets for a specific match, available across four different price categories.
Support tickets
Group tickets for supporters of a specific team, available across three different price categories.
Conditional supporter tickets
Tickets for supporters of a specific team for a second round match potentially featuring their team, available across three different price categories.
Four stadium ticket series
Tickets for fans who want to sample the atmosphere across four different matches and iconic stadiums on consecutive days.
Availability tickets
Tickets that provide access to tailored facilities and spaces for the disabled and PRM covering a range of requirements, as part of the above products.
All tickets in all categories will cost between €70 and €7,000.
